WELCOME TO NORTH CONWAY
On behalf of the members of the Mt. Washington Valley RFC and the North Conway business community we want to extend a hearty welcome to all New England Rugby Footbal Union (NERFU) players, family, friends and fans. We also want to extend a special welcome to all New England Rugby Referee Society (NERRS) members and evaluators and thier families and friends who have traveled from near and far to support this event. We hope this event will meet and exceed your expectations.
We hope that you will fall in love with North Conway and the beautiful moutains that surround this historic village. We are a tourist town and the Bull Moose have worked hard to partner with businesses who will offer rugby players preferred vacation benefits year round. To learn more about these year round benefits, ranging from lodging discounts to vacation home ownership, please visit our Rugby VIP Club page. Thank you for visiting North Conway for the 2009 NERFU CUP and the 6th Annual Rugby on the Rock Pile Tournament. Here's to a great tournament!
DIRECTIONS
The rugby grounds are located in North Conway Village adjacent to North Conway Country Club (do not park there). There are only two ways to get into North Conway Village from Route 16/302 from the South or from Route 16/302 from the North. Basically, Route 16/320 becomes the White Mountain Highway which is locally known as Main Street. If you ask people where the White Mountain Highway is you will get a puzzled look. Basically just get yourself to the Village and look for the team parking attendants.
PARKING
Everyone remembers last year. Teams are allowed two vehicles per club to transport people and kit to anf from the field. On field parking is only available to referees and emergency vehicles, and event vehicles. Bith and complain all you want but its an easy walk about the distance from the parking lot to thei pitches as Newport. We are still developing these fields and have not recieved the appropriate approvals from the tree huggers to park field side.....we will have this next year. In the meantime, parking on the street is free leaving you a lovely 10 minute nature/warm-up walk to the ground.
GARBAGE
Most clubs were very helpful last year....others were not. Please carry out what you carry in. We will have plenty of trash bags this year. You help is greatly appreciated. This is a beautiful natural area and it is important to keep it clean.
